The date of the 13th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) has been announced. According to media reports, the IPL 2020 season will begin on March 29 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Defending champions Mumbai Indians team will begin their campaign to save the title by playing at home.
A Delhi Capitals official said that the date of commencement has been fixed for 29 March. He said, "I have been told that the 2020 season of the IPL will begin in Mumbai on 29 March."
This means that initially some teams playing matches will not get the services of players from Australia, England and New Zealand. Actually, the T20 series between Australia and New Zealand would be going on at that time. Similarly, England and Sri Lanka will be playing the Test series, which will conclude on 31 March.
