New Year's Eve: Ola, Uber take these steps to protect on New Year's celebration

On the occasion of New Year 2020, the country's major taxi companies Ola and Uber have taken a big step to provide security and more vehicles to the citizens.  Ola said on Monday that the company will deploy hundreds of safety scouts in Delhi-NCR, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Pune, Chennai and Kolkata on December 31.

 Both women and men employees will be employed as these 'Safety Scouts'.  These employees have been specially trained by the company to assist the citizens in vehicle and safety.

 Ola's Chief Sales and Marketing Officer Arun Srinivas said that millions of people move out of the country's major cities on New Year's Eve and celebrate New Year till late in the night.  Keeping all these things in mind, the company is trying to provide safe rides to the people so that people can return to their homes.  He said that in cities like Pune, cooperation has also been done with the police so that people can be helped at the ground level.  Apart from this, Ola is also preparing to bring Artificial Intelligence feature "Guardian" which will automatically send the real time data of the riders to the Ola Safety Team.  As soon as the vehicle goes on the wrong track on a regular trip, it will call the Feature Safety Team.

Uber also released safety tips

 Keeping in mind the safety of its customers, Uber has told what things they should keep in mind while booking a cab.

 Check your trip

 1- After booking the cab, look at the number plate of the cab and check if it is the same number which is visible on the app.

 2- Is the car's model and variant name the same as that seen on the app.

 3- Check whether the cab driver is the same driver as seen on the app.

 4- Uber's updated app has the option to share your trip so that when starting the ride, share it with your close friend or family member.  This will allow your friend to see your location live.

5- Apart from this, there are some more safety features in the Uber app which will be in front of you as soon as you click the blue tick.  It will be better if you keep them updated as well.
